I am excited to report that work on my new website will be underway this week, and we will be launching it as soon as it's complete.  It'll have all kinds of bells and whistles, and a fresh new look.

This week I am also working on a short story for The Mammoth Book of Scottish Romance - an anthology which will hit book stores in January 2011.  It will be set in the same time period as my Highlander series, but will be a stand alone story, unconnected to the trilogy characters.

I just heard back from my editor on the third book in my Highlander series, which I submitted on March 31.  She loved it and had very few revision comments, so I will be delivering the final draft to her by June 8.

The books are now scheduled for release in March, April, and October of 2011.  It seems like a long time to wait, but at least they will all be out in one year!  I'm excited about that.  I also can't wait to see the covers.

Now I am percolating over a new trilogy.  I like to tackle different time periods, because I enjoy the research so much, so I will be moving out of the Scottish Highlands, I think.  I love to hear from readers, so if you have a favorite time period, I'm all ears!  You can reach me on my Contact Julianne page, or write on my WALL on Facebook.

Happy reading!

Hello readers!  I am closing in on my March 31 deadline to deliver Book 3 in my new Highlander Trilogy.  I can't wait to turn it in, so that I can get busy on designing a new website, which I'm very excited about.  I hope to have that launching over the summer or September at the latest.  I also have to do a spring clean here at my house.  Clutter seems to grow when I get into writing a bunch of books I love.

My Highlander trilogy is scheduled to hit bookstores starting in March 2011, but before then, I will be considering what to write next...  More Highlanders?  Not sure.  I will keep you posted.

Howdy from an Aussie romance fan.
Two weeks ago I started an unknown author and your debut Avon novel To Marry a Duke, and since this time I have read the following 4 books. I was instantly captivated by the magic each book brought that I was compelled to read late into the night despite objections from my partner. Two days ago, I finished Portrait of a Lover and I am beyond eager to read the next book. I have been secretly plotting a break in to my favourite romance book store (which has been sadly closed for a week) to kidnap the next 3 books as I am eager (ok well desperate) to read Martins story. I just knew after reading James story that Martin would have his own too.
I didn't think that after reading EVERY book both Lisa Kleypas & Julia Quinn have written that I would find an author that I would enjoy as much as them, but I have and it was you.

Dear Julianne,
I wish it were possible for you to write books at a faster rate.  I love your stories, just enough story plot and beautiful sexual scenes.  I could read you every day.  I just read "In My Wildest Fantasies" and wish I didn't have to wait until Summer of 2008 to read the next installment.  Thank you for sharing your talent.
Carol

Hi Julianne,
Just wanted to let you know how much I loved In My Wildest Fantasies.  I have read all of your books and enjoyed them all but I especially loved this one. I can't wait for the next one. Keep up the great work.

Dear Julianne,
I have just read Surrender to a Scoundrel.  I absolutely loved it.  I can't say enough about it.  Words escape me.  I can't wait for your next one!

Dear Julianne,
I have only recently come across your books.  I have just finished reading the Wilson sisters' stories.  My favourite is An Affair Most Wicked.  I absolutely loved the hero Seger Wolfe and I found myself wishing that he was actually real.  I am looking forward to reading more of your works.  Keep up the wonderful work!
Seema

Dear Julianne,
I just finished reading To Marry the Duke, An Affair Most Wicked, and Portrait of a Lover in about a week and a half.  I did not realize it was part of a series.  I was truly engrossed in An Affair Most Wicked.  I always found the 19th century a wonderful time.  Thank you for bringing me into a wonderful adventure.
Amy

Dear Julianne,
Hi!  I just finished reading Love According to Lily.  It was the first book of yours I had ever picked up and did so because of all the rave reviews.  I LOVED IT! And can't wait to read Annabelle's story in Portrait of a Lover.  I'm definitely hooked and just wanted you to know you've picked up another dedicated reader.  Thanks for the great book!

More exciting news!  I was featured in the June issue of Reader's Digest (Canadian version), along with Jo Beverley, Mary Balogh, and Kelley Armstrong.  The article - "CanLit's Romantic Side," by Patricia Pearson, author of Playing House - reveals and explores the tremendous popularity of romance novels.

My new online store is open.  You can shop for t-shirts, coffee mugs, mouse pads and more.  I have a few designs to choose from, and you can check it out here.

On the traveling front... Here's a fun pic of my daughter and me standing at Rotten Row at Hyde Park in London.  It would have been nice to see a Victorian gentleman gallop by on a horse (one who looked like Gerard Butler maybe?), but no such luck.
