I’m excited to report that my out-of-print historical romances are finally coming out of the vault. These are books that were published between the years 2000 and 2013. Some of them were published by Harlequin, others by Avon, and the final three by St. Martin’s Press. Many of them were out of print, so the publishers were required contractually to revert the books, but for those titles that were still selling, I had to make an offer and buy them back–which I did because I wanted each series to be fully intact when I reissued them.
All the books have gotten fresh new covers, and you can find each of them here on my website book pages, where everything is organized by series. A good place the start is the American Heiress Series. The good news is that you won’t have to wait to finish a series. I will be releasing each complete trilogy on the same day so you can binge-read until the next trilogy comes out two weeks later.
As for release dates, The Dodge City Brides trilogy is available now. The first book, Prairie Bride, was my debut novel, which I wrote in 1996. It was originally published by Harlequin in 2000 and here is the original cover art, along with my second novel The Marshal and Mrs. O’Malley, which has now been reissued as Tempting the Marshal.
The third novel, A Time for Love, is a time travel romance which I published under my own imprint in 2011 under the title Taken by the Cowboy. I re-titled this book to better convey the time travel element. Here is a look at the gorgeous new covers:
Next up is The Royal Trilogy which releases on August 6, 2020. These books were originally published by St. Martin’s Press between 2012 and 2013. They are set during the Napoleonic era/Regency period and revolve around the exciting and dramatic lives of a fictional royal family in Europe.
One of my goals with the cover art on all the books was to establish continuity – a consistent look across my entire backlist, a look that blends well with my Color of Heaven Series, while also making it clear that the books are in a different genre. These are all classic historical romances with love scenes and a guaranteed “happily ever after” endings.
Needless to say, I had a very busy spring and summer while I worked on the cover art and also re-edited all the books to improve the writing and characterizations, as my style has changed and improved over the years. It was more work than I imagined to edit twelve novels, especially the longer ones, but I was grateful to be busy during the Covid-19 quarantine. And I’m even more grateful to have had the opportunity to make each book better than it was upon the original publication. (I also enjoyed re-reading them after all these years. I had forgotten many of the plot twists, so I felt like I was reading each book for the first time.)
These are, without a doubt, my preferred editions, so if you stumble across the old out-of-print versions, please hold off until you can get your hands on the new and improved editions 😊.
As for where you can find the novels: They will be available exclusively at Amazon, including Kindle Unlimited (a subscription program where you can read unlimited Ebooks for a monthly fee). If you don’t normally read on the Kindle, you can still order the books in print from Amazon (other retailer links will be available soon).
If you don’t have a Kindle device, you can download the FREE Kindle app to your phone or tablet or any device that accepts apps. You can purchase the individual Ebooks that way or download them through Kindle Unlimited.
Some of the books are already available in audio, such as the Pembroke Palace Series narrated by the fabulously talented Rosalyn Landor. For those books that are not yet available in audio, I’ll be working on that in 2021 (namely the American Heiress series).
Thank you for being patient while I reissued these books! It was great fun to revisit them (and myself as a young writer) and make them available again. I hope you enjoy them!
